Milestones, sickness, and wonder drugs

Ileigh has been doing lots of new and exciting things lately. First, she started pulling herself up in the crib to standing. She didn't have the balance at first, and would consequently fall down with a WHACK to her poor little noggin. She can now stand with a bit more weight on her feet. Within days of the standing, she has begun to crawl. This is a YAY and an OH No at the same time. She is much happier as a crawler though, this is quite evident. Also, she has been giggling. A lot. She will now giggle, when we show her an object that catches her fancy, such as my cellphone. (That explains all those extra charges last month). She also fancies the remote control, my truck keys, and the animals (of course). She is so cute.
She also has a sinus infection. I decided to take her to the dr. after her waking with a green crust all over her red face. Not a pretty sight. She was snorting and snotting and not wanting to eat much. I did feel at first that she just had allergies. Ileigh and I almost certainly share every virus within a mile radius to us, and this was one only affecting her. Sinus infection explains it. She also has green eye goop. Dr. gave us eye drops for that, but I am not sure if she will ever get any since it's hard enough administering 1 and a half teaspoons of pink mold to her twice daily. And it's the Benadryl that I have to thank the lord about. Good ole bubblegum flavor benadryl. I now know the key to every parents sleep dilemma.
For some reason, someone, somewhere, decided it would be fun to hide the fact that babies as young as mine could take Diphenhydramine HCl. But good ole mama did her research. I knew that sudafed wasn't doing the trick. That's because sudafed is for stuffy noses. I was dealing with a nose faucet! The packaging is for kids 6 years and up! I asked the pharmacist (BTW~ how do you know your getting old? When the pharmacist is like 10 years younger than you!). She gave me the okay for the wonder drug. Yeeeeaaah... sleep.
