We went down to Tucson for the weekend to see my friend Rach, who has a baby born the same day as Ileigh. Since I was born and raised in Tucson, it was also a great reminiscent experience for me. We stayed at a nice resort, where I sometimes stayed with my grandparents when they would come to visit us. We ate at Eegee's which I have fond memories of eating in the Tucson mall with my mother. It was great to get together with a couple in the same boat as we are (i.e. baby world). Even if their baby is much more easy-going (i.e.
behaved), than ours, we still have lots to talk about. R and C showed us a great time, taking us to a baby-friendly tepan yaki grill where Eli and Ile watched knives being tossed and fires being set. The moms got a little wild drinking saki and it was a great change of pace.
Sunday we went to the zoo, which was fabulous. Not that Ileigh gave much of a hoot, but the rest of us did! We saw giraffes, a rhino, bears, and a polar bear close up. Ileigh liked watching the light reflections in the polar bear cave. I have some great pictures.

We also swam in a great pool at the resort, which also had a baby splash pool. Ileigh loved the water and tried to drink it up. We sure have to be careful with her around water, she was fearless.

R and C invited us to their house and they have a great play room for babies. Ileigh loved the cushey carpet and all the new toys! Eli wanted lots of hugs this time and Ileigh wanted toys! I love watching them together.

I- look at my mom! She's taking our picture!
E- why would I care? What do you have under here?

I- Excuse me, Mister?!!

The giraffe picture turned out awesome. I forgot to mention with my blog that I fed that giraffe! I didn't even tell my mom. It looks like you got some great pictures of Ileigh in the water too. Our kids are just too cute together! Can't wait to see you again next month. :)
