Today my family took a lovely day trip to Prescott (picture cool breezy pines) to visit Young's farm. This is where we (had the impression that) one can pick fresh fruit, corn, squash, and other delectibles straight off the vine. Ileigh was great in the car although I got pretty tired of entertaining her to be so. We got to the festival and quickly walked through looking for the "farm". No such luck. All we found was an outdoor market with veggies we could "pick" from a cardboard bin. Oh yeah, we also found an abandoned bean tree market, some old farmer tools piled up, and something extremely scary that I will tell you about later.
We took some pictures near the flowers and corn field. (insert picture here when I download them.)

We walked through a petting zoo (poor Andy cringes at these). This one started with pigs in swampy mud, had goats with horns poking through the fence, and ended with Bambi. Then we found a baby chick house. This sure was cute at first. Then when you get closer you see them. All 350,000 of them. Onward. Then you come to the big chicken house. This is what the babies I just saw have to look forward to. These chickens were stinky, loud, and missing most of their feathers thanks to their buddies. And just when I felt vomit in the back of my throat, we came to what I don't think Mr. Young wanted his guests to see. Well, I do think they were trying to disguise it with like 5 work trucks semi-blocking the entrance. Lucky for me Andy saw right through them to the wicked torture devices hanging from chains and pulleys in the roof. It was a chicken assembly line. Picture this.. clamps to hold up each chicken by the throat... move through the room like a disneyland ride.. through several buckets of god-knows-what. Boiling water? Hot grease? Forks and Knives? All I know is that cannot be good. And little kids are laughing and pointing to those cute little birds 15 feet from their fate. Then I saw the feathers all over the 2X2 doorway for the pulleys to go through. Here comes the vomit.
Next, we rode a "hayride" with no hay, around the farm. Farmer Buzz showed us how to dehusk corn and eat it right off the cart. He showed us an 800 foot well (well, there was a spicket anyways), and this is where the sunburn comes in. None of us knew that the ride was going to last an hour, be so damn hot, and be out in the burning sun. I am so sorry Ileigh.
Then we saw the THANKSGIVING TURKEYS. Yay! Farmer Buzz even let two lucky kids go into the pen and carry out some of their future meals to show to the rest of us. I know what you are

So we eventually left the farm to get some lunch. No, I did not have chicken. Oh yeah, and the best way to end a day of sunburn and

Oh yeah, and it was a pretty fun day. Except for the burn. I'm so sorry Ileigh.
I will insert the pictures tomorrow so check back soon.

Oh, Laura, now you know why I don't eat meat. I usually really enjoy a trip to Young's Farm. You can actually pick your own pumpkin in the fall. But, we have found a better farm down here in Tucson. So, come October, you just drive down here and we'll all get our pumpkins together. I wonder what the farm here has during the rest of year.
Boy, the story I got from Mom was quite a bit different. Hope you really did have some fun.
I love the pictures! You always have such great shots. I should take more time I guess so I can get some good ones like you have.
I just remembered why I was a vegetarian for three years. OMG. HAHAHAH

IFLH volume trading is beginning to surge with landslide Announcement. The value of this

BREAKING NEWS!!
InterFinancial Holdings, Corp. (OTC Pink Sheets: IFLH - News) announced that they have added
David Cain to their board of directors. David Cain is currently the Chairman of the advisory
board to TTI (Texas Transportation Institute). Senator Cain represented Senate District 2 for
eight years in the Texas Senate and Chaired the Senate State Affairs Subcommittee on
Transportation and served nine terms in the Texas House of Representatives for District 107.
During his twelve years as Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, Senator Cains
efforts on behalf of the people of Texas have been widely recognized. He was named to Texas
Monthly Magazines list of Ten Best Legislators, the Dallas Morning News said he was one of
the outstanding legislators of the 73rd session, and the Texas Department of Transportation
awarded him the Russell H. Perry Award in 1995 for his efforts to gain public awareness of
the need for and benefits of transportation facilities in the State of Texas.
Jeffrey C. Bruteyn, Managing Director, stated, We at InterFinancial are proud to have such a
widely recognized Senator join our board and oversee out automotive lending division. His
affiliations and connections to the automotive industry will be invaluable to our company.
Senator Cain will be instrumental in expediting our approval to use a government issued Seller
Finance License.
Seller Finance Licenses are very difficult to obtain and are usually reserved for the Big Boys
with heavy lobbyists. These licenses are highly coveted because it allows the finance company
to collect the entire down payment, instead of paying a portion of it to the taxing authority.
This dramatically helps a finance companys bottom line if the buyer defaults on the loan.
With the new GPS tracking systems being installed on every car to dramatically improve
repossessions and with Senator Cain on the Board of Directors, InterFinancial Holdings
is ready to take their business to the next level.
