Friday night I found a kitten in the park. It was funny because I have been telling my family that I want a kitten, but that since I don't need one, I was going to have to have one find me. Well, this kitty came purring right out of the bushes at the park. I told Andy I was not going to leave her there so he had no choice. She is super friendly and cuddly. She looks just like Jakey (a cat we already have) but is a girl. I love her!
Saturday was Andy's 28th bday so we went out friday night, and Saturday we drove up to Payson (pine trees, cooler weather, sometimes snow). It is only about a 90 min drive. We had a great time but the evening was horrible.
We tried to go out to dinner to celebrate. Ileigh was rotten! I had to chase her around the restaurant, while she grabbed at every single candle on the tables. She screamed when Andy blew one out and had a tantrum when I took them away. She wasn't having anything to do with her highchair, and actually does better in a booth where she can play with the sugar packets. I tried taking her outside, but it was freezing and there was a bonfire (she kept trying to blow it out). It was hard to make her keep her distance. I took her in the lobby, and she would over and over again climb to the top of the dangerous stairs. arghhh! To top it off, the food was horrible. Mine was okay, but almost everyone elses was awful.
Andy and I wanted to play poker once Ileigh went to sleep. My mom decided she was too tired to let us into her room to play, so we had to play in opposite corner from the portacrib. Turned out, my mom had some guests downstairs after all, and so my sister couldn't even sleep down there. Jennifer came angrily upstairs to put her boys to sleep in our room. I finally had to go down and yell at the guests to leave so that my husband and I could play poker on his birthday!! Meanwhile, Ileigh won't go to bed. She normally goes down at 7ish and now it was 9 and she had been screaming from the portacrib for a hour. She finally went to sleep but woke up 3 more times in the night. DH's snoring kept me up anyways. It was miserable. There were so many other factors into making the night difficult, but I am not even going to go into them.
The good news, is that I got some great pictures! Sunday we went down to a creek and the kids had a blast. My nephews, ELijah and Logan are the other boys in the pictures.
Ileigh got a few chicken pox from her shot. She also has a fever, a cough, and a runny nose. I can't figure out if she has a cold, is teething another molar, or is having a reaction to her shots. All I know, is she hopefully will shape up in time for our california trip on wednesday!
