Tidbits

Favorites:

Ileigh loves to eat ice. We entertain her at restaurants with it. ~ Today, I gave Ileigh a taste of salsa at Macayo's. She liked it so I gave her some on a plate to dip her chip in. She scooped it up in her hand and slurped it off! She loved it. ~
Ileigh loves stuffed elephants, and stuffed puppies. She hugged a life sized figure of a dog in Old Navy yesterday. She didn't want to let go. ~ Ileigh loves Mama. She especially likes to drag her around by the hand, even with no destination in mind. ~ Ileigh likes her sleep. She enjoys laying in her crib, with her light show, paci's, bottle of milk, blankets, and stuffed elephant. She will drag us in there and want to be put down sometimes. ~ Ileigh loves to go outside. She likes to explore and be let down to do so as she pleases. She wants to touch, and run, sometimes down the street. ~ Ileigh loves kitties. She tries to pick them up and frequently tests her strength on them. Sometimes on their ears or eyes. She will run to any kitty she sees. ~ Ileigh loves to throw her food to the dog. The messier the food, the better. If it makes a splat sound, and Mama makes a frown face, it is down right hillarious!

Not so good:

Ileigh does not like to be redirected. This will usually get you a bloody scratch on the face. I have one as I type this. When Ileigh wants to go outside, she is the most adamant. Those are the most serious of the facial injuries. ~ Ileigh does not like fireworks. Especially if they are directly overhead. I do think she has been permanently scarred from the neighbor's Christmas party in which they had several loud fireworks. I had to immediately take her home, and she has been waking up with bad dreams ever since. ~ Ileigh does not much like when strangers talk to her, or try to play with her. They are not mama and how dare they pretend to be! ~ Ileigh does not like when Mama or daddy get on their computers. She knows to promptly appear next to the keyboard, and press as many keys as she can until attention is refocused where it should be. ~ Ileigh doesn't like to use her words. She perfers the more primitive way of speaking with grunts and exclamations. Occasionally we can get some sign language out of her, most recently for "eat".
