Itis'es and My week in a nutshell

Ileigh has the itis'es.

She has bronchitis, tonsilitis, and otitis media.

That would be inflamation of the bronchi, tonsils and ear drums.

It started last Monday. She had a runnier nose than usual. She was taken to daycare for just few hours. Then Mama picked her up early to meet some internet buddies. We went to the zoo. Ileigh doesn't know to even look for animals at the zoo. Not only did Ileigh's long distance twin, E, know to look for the animals, he knew what quite a few of them were named. He goes to the zoo often, but I don't think that would even matter with Ileigh. I can't get over this, E said "giaffe". Giraffe! Ileigh says "uhhh" for most everything. Uhhh well.

We had fun at the zoo and I met Q's mom for the first time. She was very nice. I forgot my camera. Happay posted some pics on her blog if you would like to see.

I knew something was going on with Ileigh because she sat in her stroller longer than usual at the zoo. She ended up with a fever of 103 late that night.
Tuesday, we had to go back up to Meritage to sign more papers for the house. We keep changing our minds about lots of the options. Andy really wants a fireplace in the bedroom. Sure it is not neccessary and especially not for 7000 dollars. He reminded me that it does keep you warm and is a great selling feature. I told him we will do whatever he sees fit. I don't want to regret anything. So we got it.
Wednesday, I called Ileigh in sick to daycare. She was a mess. Snotty, hacking, and WHINNEY AS HELL. I had so much to do with all my realtor stuff getting in gear. I really wanted to go sign up with the board of realtors and my new broker. NOPE, had to stay home with sickey.
Thursday, Austin had his appointment for a shadowing at the new Montessori school. I dropped him off at 8:30. Took Sickey to daycare (hey, she got it there, right?). I went to the board AND made it to my broker before I had to pick Austin up at 11:30. Awesome! Meanwhile, Shannon was being induced to have Evan that day. My mom was on call to watch the kids while I went to the hospital.
Shannon wasn't progressing. I was so worried this would be my last chance ever to see a live birth and it was going to be another c-section. (the first was my sister, who ended up with a section). It was 10 pm and she was only 1 cm dialated. How frustrating! They even broke her water, and gave her and epidural at only 1 cm! NO FAIR! Anyways, I was worried Andy would have to take the day off work friday, and we are trying to SAVE money here.
Shannon texted me at 1:30 am saying she was 4cm. Yay! Then an hour later she was 6. She said I better come right away since it started going so fast. I rushed the 20 miles there at 2:45 am. She called me on my way to say she was 9 1/2. I was freaking!
I had to race into the ER and the twisted backasswards hallways to her room. I was under the impression that when you get to 10 cm, you either have the strong urge to push and do, or the nurses tell you to start. I guess, they can wait till whenever. They didn't even call her dr until after her first push and she lived 12 minutes away.
Okay, so this story could be very elaborated. I will sum it up now.
She pushed for over an hour, seemed like 3. I got to see right next to the dr. I filmed and almost cried when he came out. He was so beautiful! My babies come out looking like they were picked up from war rubble. Sure they straighten up, but my god, this baby was gorgeous! He weighed 8 lbs 3 oz. She was guessing 7.8. hee hee. Born Jan. 27th at 4:28 am. Welcome Evan Andrew!
