Ileigh has been getting up umteen times a night lately. It always happens right after getting Avery back to sleep in the bedside bassinet. Then I hear our door jiggle. That always means one of two things. Either Pepe (cat) has once again figured out how to enter through a closed door or Ileigh is coming in. Then Ileigh comes to the side of the bed, stands there until I startle awake, and then whines... "lay down meeeee". If I am really tired, I pull her up and over me and flop her into our bed. Otherwise, I walk her back to bed and she lays right back down and has her eyes closed before she hits the pillow. Lately when I have checked on her in the middle of the night, she has been face down on the carpet or with only her head on the bed and asleep standing beside her bed. I started thinking maybe the only reason that she has been getting up so much is because she keeps falling out of bed.
We went bed shopping. After days of going in and out of furniture stores, we decided just to take Austin's bunkbeds apart. The top bunk conveniently has a railing to keep Ileigh's little body in. We will see what happens tonight. Next step is to get a lock for her door!
