Update on Stinkerbutt

Ileigh is doing so much better lately. I am not sure what was wrong with her, but it was definetely something. Anyone who was around her the past few days can attest to that.
Anyways, right after her dr. appointment it was as if she knew. She immediately starting being the cute little angel I knew was in there somewhere. She even took 3 steps yesterday!

I stopped by my neighbor's house today. They have a little girl a month younger than Ileigh. I have only met this woman once before, but wanted to stop by and ask about a playgroup she had mentioned. We have decided Ileigh definetely needs some other baby interaction! It was interesting to see that Ileigh wanted every one of Jaden's toys. Yet Jaden, was not allowed to touch them! At one point, Ileigh screamed and grabbed Jaden's arm for trying to play with the same toy. Oh boy, have we got a lot of learning to do, Ileigh!
I also witnessed Ileigh's first real bout of jealousy today. Austin sat on my lap and gave me a big hug. You should of seen the betrayed look on poor baby's face! She marched right over and pushed on Austin, obviously trying to remove him from my lap. Then she sat there. My little princess.

Lately, I have been very overwhelmed with many things. I have tried to vent about them with friends and family. I have felt better that several people on my boards are going through difficult stages with their one year olds too. I have one friend who told me Ileigh is just too spoiled, and actually not a difficult baby. That I just give into her too much. What I think, is that some people have easy going babies, and some do not. Ones with easy going babies are very lucky. They also have NO IDEA what it's like on the other side. No, you cannot just TRAIN your baby to sleep in the stroller, to like the car, or sleep during a party. Babies are born with their little personalities inside of them. Did we cater to Ileigh on our vacation? No. And did she go with the flow, sleeping in her stroller or liking the car. No. Either your child likes the car or doesn't. If I made a lot of racket while Ileigh was supposed to be napping, she would simply play, not nap, and become crabby. I have an awesome sleeper for a kid. If Ileigh is going to take a nice happy 3 hour nap at home, with minimal noise, than so be it. I will not deprive her of that. I am sorry if I need to vent about having a fussy kid to all my family and friends every now and then. I still love her to pieces and I am not spoiling her into being a fussy kid.

OMG, I am so sorry that someone said that to you! That's horrible. I just can't believe some of the things that people say! I am glad that Ileigh has cheered up a bit over the past few days. I hope the trend continues.

hi.first, I love the vacation photos. Ileigh is cuter then ever. I have to write you a long e-mail later and send some pics. We are doing good. Anyway, I am sorry those things were said to you about Ileigh. I don't think you guys spoil her. Yes, I agree with your statement about babies just born with their own personalities. Olivia is pretty easy going but she still doesn't like her carseat and fusses most of the tme in it and she would NEVER sleep through a party so we always have to leave early. Oh well!! So don't listen to people that don't understand. There is nothing you can do about it, I can't get this kid to like her carseat so I deal with it. What are ya suppose to do o make them like it? Anyway glad to hear she has been happy for you. good job on the steps!! Olivia has a tooth and another one coming in and has been waking up everynight...ahhhh!!talk to ya soon
