The crazy thing about names...

Why is it that we have certain connotations with certain names? We like the sound of one name, but another rhyming one sends chills up our spine. Here are some examples of mine..

Like Hate

Casey and Macie Tracy
Sarah and Kara Tara
Jonah Mona
Tristan Kristen
Carys Ferris
Claire and Cadence Clarence
Karen Erin
Laura Flora
Andy Sandy or Mandy

I do like the aiden names, however. They all sound nice to me. I am still suprised though, that so many parents think they are being original with Jaden, Aiden, and Braden. As long as they know, than that's fine. They are all nice sounding names, just too popular for my tastes.

That is a very odd phenomenon! I have to say that I am definitely on the "like" side of your names. I however, continue the trend with the "aden" names. I like Aiden and Braden but really hate Jaden. I suppose it is like food, why does one person love peas/spicy food/rasins and another hate them? Maybe it is what you are familiar with. Kind of like a subconscious environmental training while you were growing up. Where did you get Ileigh? I like that name. Pretty and not popular.

You know I'm wierd. I don't have to get into the names part to prove that. We're still sticking with Phineas and Lucille. :)

Yay, you've got Cadence on there! That's our #1 girl pick as of now. IF, we ever get PG again. I'm starting to get impatient and sick of SOD (sex on demand) because I'm afraid of missing my O date. We considered Aidan for Kai, but yeah, it's too common for my tastes now.
