I'm SORRY

I know it has been a long time. I have been too busy to think lately.

I was so excited that I got my first real estate client last week. They called with questions on my San Miguel house and I asked them if they had a realtor. They didn't and told me what they were looking for. I did a few searches and printed out several options. They didn't have an email address so I called them several times. They told me they were planning on renting out their existing home and buying a 400,000 ish home with 4 bedrooms and a garage since he is a construction worker with a lot of tools. They were pre-qualified with and LSR. I was so excited dreaming of the 12,000 I would make off the sale. We need it more than ever right now! I set up an appt for sunday and arranged for a sitter, and to get a lock box key. About an hour before, Ines called and apologized but something came up that was very important. Okay, so I rescheduled for wednesday at 5.
I was supposed to work wednesday so I took tuesday off to prepare. I got my car washed, the key coded, and a file set up. I printed up maps and layed out my outfit. I went to work wednesday but had to get off at 3 to go home and get ready. I called Hector at my lunch hour to confirm the appt. He said yes, my wife gets off at 3 so 5 will be fine.
I arranged for my mother to pick up Ileigh at daycare and Austin was already over at her house. I filled up the gas tank with $75 dollars which we don't have, but heck.. it's worth the 12 grand, right? I drove downtown to the Michel's home. They live right on a busy street and their driveway was occupied so I pulled into the adjoining neighborhood. I gave Hector a call and there was NO ANSWER. I called their home and Ines' cell. NO ANSWER. I started to panic. I drove slowly past the house 3 times. It looked like there was construction going on in there. Was the home vacant? Were these people made up? NO, I had looked them up on the tax information. I knew that was their address and their real names. hmmmmmm. I called Shannon. SHe told me to find a way to park and get to the door. I finally did, it was now 5:15. I was so embarassed to be late! A man that thankfully spoke spanish said, Hector? Oh, he lives in the back. I breathed a sigh of relief.. I asked him if he would show me back there. I walked past heaps of dirt and junk in my nice outfit nervously. He knocked. NO ANSWER. Tried the back door. SAME. He said, I know he was just here, he moved this truck. (truck still in back by door). Hmmmmm. I wanted to stay and ring their damn doorbell till their ears were ringing but instead I politely handed the man my card, told him about my "appt" with Hector and Ines, and left. I recorded 3 messages for them (all polite) saying they must of forgotten our appt or had and emergency and to please call me back. ARGHHHHH
10 pm I get a call. Ummmm you called this number.......maybe who is this??......Hector. Oh, hector, it's laura from high profile realty. ... Oh. You must want Hector my dad. I will go get him.....................................(long wait).............................................uhhh yeah, he has to call you back in like 10 minutes. YEAH RIGHT WHATEVER!

THE NERVE OF SOME PEOPLE.
